Improve sustainability and reduce production costs with process mining
Our new Celonis app for sustainability in operations is now available in the Celonis EMS Store. The Rothbaum Sustainability Operations Cockpit offers advanced analyses and reports with process mining to improve sustainability in the company. The app makes it possible to calculate the emissions caused in production and logistics down to the individual products. To do this, the actual throughput times of the products are used and converted into CO2 emissions using the energy consumption key and the energy mix.
In addition, the actual production costs are calculated, taking into account not only energy costs but also personnel costs and depreciation. The app not only creates transparency, but also aims to reduce costs and emissions in production and logistics. This enables companies to offer products with low emissions on the market as climate-friendly products and to prove this with data.
The Celonis EMS app enables, among other things:

- Overview of production costs per workplace and product
- Increasing the productivity and efficiency of the system

Overview and cost breakdown
Production costs and CO2 emissions at a glance
The overview view provides a clear overview of KPIs such as production volume, production costs and CO2 emissions. The most frequent process route and the most frequently produced product groups are displayed. In addition, the production costs and CO2 emissions are converted to the individual production steps.
The cost breakdown divides the KPIs for production costs into energy costs and labor costs. It offers the option of limiting the scope to a time period or a product line. The production times and costs are displayed from the machine group and at the level of the individual machine. There is also an overview of the average costs and the cost deviations from planning.
CO2 break-down and total energy consumption
Easily identify the main sources of emissions
The CO2 breakdown provides an overview of the total energy consumption and the associated CO2 emissions. The emissions are broken down to the individual machines so that the main sources of emissions can be determined. In addition, it is possible to determine at product line level which lines are produced particularly sustainably and where there is still room for improvement.
Many of our customers are already using the functionalities of this app to monitor and control their operational areas.
